British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw Sends a Telegram to Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing on SARS

On April 30, 2003, British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw sent a telegram to Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing, voicing support to the Chinese side's efforts on combating the severe acute respiratory syndrome(SARS). Straw said that British extends great sympathy to China in the current hard time, and welomes China's efforts against SARS as well as its cooperation with the World Heath Organization(WHO). Straw expressed his hope that China can control the disease as soon as possible and said that British is willing to offer necessary coordination and support.
