On October 29, 2019, Vice Foreign Minister Zheng Zeguang met with Miguel Ramirez Ramos, the Cuban Ambassador to China who is to leave his post.

Speaking positively of Miguel Ramirez Ramos' contributions to promoting the development of China-Cuba relations during his tenure, Zheng Zeguang hoped that he would continuously care for and support the development of bilateral relations. Miguel Ramirez Ramos spoke highly of the great achievements the People's Republic of China has made for the past seventy years since its founding, thanked the Chinese side for providing strong support for his fulfillment of duty in China, and expressed the willingness to continuously contribute to the cause of Cuba-China friendship.
