On June 30, 2023, Special Representative for Human Rights of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China Yang Xiaokun and Director-General for Human Rights and Democracy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico Cristopher Ballinas Valdés co-chaired the first China-Mexico dialogue on human rights, and had an exchange of views on respective human rights visions, progress of the human rights cause, and multilateral human rights work, among others.
