On November 4, 2002, after attending China+ASEAN Summit, Premier Zhu Rongji signed the Framework Agreement on China-ASEAN Comprehensive Economic Cooperation with 10 ASEAN leaders to establish China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone by 2010.
The Framework Agreement on China-ASEAN Comprehensive Economic Cooperation is a milestone in China-ASEAN comprehensive economic cooperation. The signing of the Framework shows that China-ASEAN economic and trade cooperation has entered a new historic stage.
