Zhang Gaoli Meets with President Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko of Belarus

On September 2, 2015, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli met in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse with President Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko of Belarus, who was in China to attend the commemorations of the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

Zhang Gaoli said that in recent years, with personal promotion by the two heads of state, China and Belarus have constantly deepened political mutual trust, expanded practical cooperation and maintained close collaboration in international affairs. The Chinese side will make joint efforts with the Belarusian side to, by taking the joint construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt as an opportunity earnestly implement the various consensuses reached by the two heads of state, give full play to the role of the mechanism of the intergovernmental cooperation committee, enhance financial credit cooperation, fully tap the potential of local cooperation, jointly forge advantageous cooperation projects and sturdily advance the construction of the China-Belarus Industrial Park, so as to push the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level.

Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko expressed that Belarus and China are long-standing friends and reliable partners. The Belarusian side stands ready to work together with the Chinese side to promote the continuous development of the bilateral relations and practical cooperation.
