On September 3, 2015, Vice President Li Yuanchao met in Beijing with Representative of the Government and Minister of Department of Veterans Affairs Michael Ronaldson of Australia, Representative of the Government and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto of Hungary, and Former President and Mayor of Manila Joseph Estrada of the Philippines, who were in China to attend the commemorations marking the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

Li Yuanchao said that China and Australia both made important contributions to the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War. With the present sound development of China-Australia relations, it is hoped that China and Australia will fully implement the important consensus reached by leaders of the two countries, deepen cooperation in areas including economy and trade, people-to-people and cultural exchanges and judicial affairs, so as to promote the continuous and stable development of China-Australia comprehensive strategic partnership. Michael Ronaldson expressed appreciation for Xi Jinping’s elaboration in his V-day commemoration speech on China's determination to maintain world peace and justice. He said Australia is willing to further strengthen mutual trust and cooperation with China so as to promote the comprehensive development of China-Australia relations.

Li Yuanchao said that bilateral relations between China and Hungary have witnessed healthy and steady development since the establishment of diplomatic relations 66 years ago. It is hoped that the two countries can strengthen the docking of development strategies, expand practical cooperation in two-way investment, finance, infrastructure and other areas, deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges so as to promote the cooperation and relations between China and Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries and China-Europe for greater development. Peter Szijjarto expressed that the present Hungary-China relations are in the best period in history, and Hungary hopes to expand practical cooperation with China, so as to serve as a bridge of Europe-China relations and contribute more to the in-depth development of the cooperation between China and CEE countries.

Li Yuanchao said that China and the Philippines are both victims of the World War II, and the two peoples forged profound friendship during the World Anti-Fascist War. As neighbors, the two countries should pursue friendly coexistence and win-win cooperation together. Always attaching importance to the China-Philippines relations, China is willing to make joint efforts with the Philippines to propel bilateral ties back to a normal development track. Joseph Estrada expressed that the friendship between the two countries has a long history, and the people-to-people exchanges are close. It is hoped that the bilateral relations will overcome the current difficulties and achieve sound development. He is willing to make his own contributions in this regard.
