Wang Yi Meets with Government Representative and Minister of State for External Affairs Vijay Kumar Singh of India

On September 4, 2015, Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Government Representative and Minister of State for External Affairs Vijay Kumar Singh of India, who was in China to attend the commemorations marking the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

Wang Yi said that China and India understood and supported each other in the cause striving for national independence and liberation in the modern times and thus forged a profound friendship. At present, the China-India relations maintain a good development momentum, and leaders of the two countries agreed to deepen the connotation of China-India strategic cooperative partnership and build a closer partnership of development. China is willing to work with India to deeply integrate their development strategies and join hands to achieve peaceful development, cooperative development and inclusive development so as to open up broader prospects for the China-India relations.

Vijay Kumar Singh congratulated China on the successful holding of commemorations marking the 70th anniversary of the victory of the War against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. He said that India-China friendship enjoys a long history, and the two countries strengthening cooperation is conducive to their common development as well as regional and world peace and stability. India is willing to work with China to continuously promote the India-China relations for new progress.
