Li Keqiang Meets With Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius of France

On the afternoon of September 3, 2015, Li Keqiang met at the Great Hall of the People with Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius of France, who was in China to attend the commemorations marking the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

Li Keqiang expressed that during his recent visit to France, he reached broad consensuses with President Francois Hollande and Prime Minister Manuel Valls on further developing bilateral relations and boosting cooperation in such fields as civil nuclear energy, aviation and finance. Both sides also agreed to promote the Climate Change Conference in Paris for positive results. China is willing to work with France to well implement the consensuses, and to push forward the China-France relations for new progress based on the current sound level.

Li Keqiang pointed out that cooperation in the third-party markets is a pioneering and innovative move for deepening China-France practical cooperation in the new era. It is hoped that the two sides will strengthen coordination and docking and strive for early substantial harvests, and try best to build cooperation in the third-party markets into a model project for South-North cooperation and a leading project in the recovery of the world economy.

Laurent Fabius expressed that since Premier Li Keqiang’s visit to France, the two countries have seen sound cooperation in coping with climate change, strengthened cooperation in nuclear energy and smooth start in cooperation of the third-party markets. France is willing to enhance communication and coordination with China to actively implement their consensuses and achievements for greater progress in related cooperation.
