Zhang Dejiang Meets Respectively with President of Mongolia, Vice President of Argentina and President of Lower House of Parliament of Poland

On September 3, 2015, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) Zhang Dejiang met respectively at the Great Hall of the People with President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj of Mongolia, Representative of President, Vice President and President of the Senate Amado Boudou of Argentina, and President of the Lower House of the Parliament Malgorzata Kidawa-Blonska of Poland, who were in China to attend the commemorations of the 70th anniversary of the victory of Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

Zhang Dejiang first expressed thanks to Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj for his attending of the commemorations. He said that taking President Xi Jinping’s visit to Mongolia last year as an opportunity, China and Mongolia have established a comprehensive strategic partnership, and the China-Mongolia relations have entered a new historical period. The Chinese side will work together with the Mongolian side to well implement the consensus of the two heads of state, to continuously expand cooperation areas, and to benefit the two peoples with fruits of cooperation. The NPC of China is willing to work with the State Great Khural of Mongolia to enhance exchanges of experience on governance and administration of state affairs and legislation, and to start and run well the regular exchange mechanism between the legislative bodies of the two countries, so as to play a positive role in the development of the bilateral relations.

Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj expressed that it was a great honor for Mongolia to send a square team to participate in the military parade, and he expected the two countries to strengthen cooperation in various fields such as agriculture and animal husbandry, energy and mineral and parliament.

During his meeting with Amado Boudou, Zhang Dejiang appreciated that he was entrusted by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner to attend the commemorations,. He said that President Xi Jinping successfully paid a state visit to Argentina last year; and then China and Argentina have established a comprehensive strategic partnership and the relations between the two countries have entered a new stage of development. The NPC of China stands ready to work with the Congress of Argentina to well implement the China-Argentina joint statement, to carry out exchanges of legal system construction experience centering on economic transformation and improvement of people’s livelihood, and to create a favorable legal environment for bilateral mutually beneficial and friendly cooperation.

Amado Boudou conveyed the lofty tribute of President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and the Argentine people for Chinese people’s contributions to the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. He expressed that the Argentine side attaches great importance to the relationship with China and is willing to continuously deepen the mutually beneficial and friendly cooperation in various fields between the two countries.

During his meeting with Malgorzata Kidawa-Blonska, Zhang Dejiang thanked her for attending the commemorations. He said, both China and Poland are victimized countries of the World War II, and both made indelible contributions to the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War. Both sides should remember the history and jointly safeguard the fruits of victory of World War II and international fairness and justice. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 66 years ago, the China-Poland relations are developing rapidly and bilateral cooperation in various fields are constantly making progress. The proposal of the initiative of jointly building the “Belt and Road” by President Xi Jinping has provided new opportunities for China-Poland cooperation. The NPC of China stands ready to work with the Lower House of Parliament of Poland to carry out multi-level and multi-channel cooperation and exchanges, so as to consolidate public support and legal basis for the friendly cooperation between the two countries and promote continuous progress of bilateral relations.

Malgorzata Kidawa-Blonska said that Poland attaches importance to developing relationship with China and stands ready to actively participate in the construction of the “Belt and Road” and continuously deepen bilateral practical cooperation in all areas.
