On April 28, 2015, the 11th Lanting Forum under the theme of "Promoting International Cooperation on Production Capacity Featuring Mutual Benefit and Win-win Result: Hebei in Focus" was held in Beijing by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the People's Government of Hebei Province. This is the first Forum jointly held by the Foreign Ministry and a local government, and diplomatic envoys and representatives of 80 countries and international institutions in China were present at the event upon invitation. Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Governor Zhang Qingwei of Hebei Province attended the opening ceremony together.

During the Forum, Governor Zhang Qingwei expressed the gratitude to the Foreign Ministry and Foreign Minister Wang Yi for specially hosting this Forum and backing Hebei's external exchanges and cooperation. Wang Yi noted that China is still a developing country, and it is incumbent upon diplomacy to serve development. The Foreign Ministry will stand not only for Hebei Province and development of all the provinces and autonomous regions and cities in China, but also for Chinese enterprises going global as well as the mutual benefit and win-win result of China and all the other countries in the world.
