Li Keqiang Meets with Speaker of the National Assembly Claude Bartolone of France

On the morning of June 30 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with Speaker of the National Assembly Claude Bartolone of France at the Hôtel de Lassay in Paris.

Li Keqiang expressed that the National Assembly of France and the National People’s Congress of China have maintained close exchanges, indicating the profound traditional friendship and favorable foundation of public support between China and France. During this visit, the two sides will sign cooperation documents covering many areas such as nuclear energy, trilateral cooperation and aviation and aerospace and reach consensus on further facilitating personnel exchanges. I believe this will inject new impetus to the development of China-France relations.

Li Keqiang pointed out that as two great cultures of international influence, China and France should further explore the potential of the bilateral people-to-people and cultural exchanges and enhance exchanges and mutual learning between the two civilizations. The legislatures of the two countries can carry out in-depth dialogue on national development and the construction of people’s livelihood so as to enhance mutual understanding, which will contribute to promoting the bilateral practical cooperation and consolidating the public support for the development of the bilateral relations.

Claude Bartolone expressed that with frequent high-level mutual visits and personnel exchanges, France and China are enjoying increasingly close relations. The National Assembly of France actively supports the France-China friendship and devotes itself to further enhancing the bilateral people-to-people and cultural exchanges thus provide more and stronger impetus to the bilateral cooperation in economy and other fields and push for new and greater progress in the development of the France-China and EU-China relations.
