On the afternoon of June 30 local time, Premier Li Keqiang and Prime Minister Manuel Valls of France jointly met the press after their talks.

Li Keqiang said in his speech that as global economic recovery remains weak, to expand the market demand through developing the real economy is an effective way to deal with the downward pressure on the economy. Currently, the developing countries urgently need to strengthen infrastructure construction. China enjoys a large number of middle-end products, production lines and equipment capacities with high price-performance ratio, which meet the needs of the developing countries. The developed countries possess high-end technologies and equipment. Promoting international production capacity cooperation is to combine the advantages of China and the developed countries to produce equipment with key technologies at a lower price and higher quality, so as to meet the needs of the developing countries, and promote the industrial upgrading of China and expand the export of the developed countries. During this visit, China and France jointly issued a cooperation agreement on developing the third-party market. Both countries are willing to adopt diversified forms to conduct trilateral cooperation in fields such as nuclear power and high-speed rail to realize mutual benefits and triple-win results.

Li Keqiang pointed out that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations (UN). As the world’s important economies and the permanent members of the UN Security Council, China and France should undertake the historical missions and make unremitting efforts to promote the everlasting peace of the world and the development, prosperity and advancement of the human society.

Manuel Valls said that France-China cooperation in all areas has reached an unparalleled level. Both countries undertake significant responsibilities in international affairs, devote themselves to deepening bilateral cooperation and further developing new fields such as trilateral cooperation, and have signed an agreement of historic significance at this point. France supports enterprises of both countries to carry out trilateral cooperation in fields such as energy, environment and infrastructure in forms of joint venture, cooperation and others. France is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with China in the field of climate change and push for positive results in the Climate Change Conference in Paris.

Li Keqiang and Manuel Valls also respectively answered the journalists’ questions concerning Greece’s debt problems, network security and convenience for personnel exchanges.
