On the morning of November 21 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met at the hotel where he stayed in Kuala Lumpur with Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India.

Li Keqiang expressed that China and India are important neighbors to each other with close high-level exchanges and the cooperation between the two countries has been witnessing new progress continuously. This May we held talks in Beijing and reached significant consensus on advancing China-India strategic cooperative partnership and building a closer development partnership. As two of the world's largest developing countries, China and India enjoy common interests which far outweigh their differences. The two sides enhancing mutual trust and joining hands will not only boost the world economic growth and achieve mutual benefits and win-win results, but also contribute to the peace, development and prosperity of Asia and the world at large.

Li Keqiang pointed out that the development strategies of China and India fit in with each other. The two sides share broad prospects for cooperation as China is implementing its strategies including "Made in China 2025" and "Internet Plus" while India is vigorously pushing forward development strategies such as "Made in India" and "Digital India". The Chinese side stands ready to, together with the Indian side, promote the construction of Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar Economic Corridor towards an "early harvest", boost cooperation in fields including trade and investment, infrastructure construction and finance, expand space for people-to-people and cultural cooperation and consolidate the public support for bilateral relations.

Li Keqiang emphasized that the global and regional development requires peace and stability rather than tension and conflicts. China is willing to intensify coordination with India in multilateral affairs and jointly address global challenges such as the threat of terrorism.

Narendra Modi said that India and China enjoy a strong development momentum in their relations, increasingly strengthened political mutual trust and strategic communication, continuously progressed cooperation in trade and investment and lasting tranquility in the border areas. India stands ready to seize the opportunities with China to further implement the consensus reached by the two sides, deepen bilateral cooperation in fields like economy and trade, science and technology and people-to-people and cultural engagement and push India-China cooperation for new results, so as to drive the economic growth of Asia and the world at large.

The two parties also exchanged in-depth views on international and regional topics of common interest.
