Li Keqiang and Najib Razak Jointly Meet the Press

On the afternoon of November 23 local time, Premier Li Keqiang and Prime Minister Najib Razak of Malaysia jointly met the press after their talks.

Li Keqiang expressed that during my visit, I deeply feel that the Chinese people and the Malaysian people enjoy long-lasting friendship and that both sides boast frequent high-level exchanges, continuously enhanced political mutual trust, open and inclusive cultures and a broad prospect for cooperation. The Chinese side will give play to its advantages to participate in infrastructure construction such as the railway in the south of Malaysia and Malaysia-Singapore high-speed railway, encourage enterprises of both countries to expand mutual investment, and further enhance bilateral cooperation in areas including trade, finance, sea, education and defense. China will encourage more Chinese citizens to travel in Malaysia so as to enhance understanding between both peoples and welcomes the visa facilitation measures introduced by Malaysia during the visit.

Li Keqiang stressed that mutual respect, equal treatment and deep trust are the solid foundation as well as valuable treasure for China-Malaysia relations. It is hoped that both sides can work together to pass down and carry forward the valuable treasure, so as to ensure the sound and stable development as well as long-lasting vitality and vigor of China-Malaysia relations.

Najib Razak noted that since the establishment of Malaysia-China comprehensive strategic partnership, the bilateral relations have achieved great progress. At present, Malaysia-China relations are at the best period in history and the Malaysian side is satisfied with the current development of bilateral relations. Malaysia-China cooperation is extensive and mutually beneficial, therefore the bilateral relations are believed to be further consolidated and developed.
