On the afternoon of May 17 local time, after their talks in Shannon, Premier Li Keqiang and Prime Minister Enda Kenny of Ireland held a joint press conference.

Li Keqiang expressed that Prime Minister Enda Kenny and I exchanged in-depth views on China-Ireland relations and a wide range of topics of common interest. We reached consensus that the mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Ireland covers wide range of fields and enjoys broad prospects. The Chinese side stands ready to, together with Ireland, adhere to mutual benefit and reciprocity, maintain friendship and mutual learning, strengthen exchanges at all levels, deepen cooperation in various fields and consolidate the public opinion foundation of bilateral relations by conducting more cultural exchanges. The Chinese side welcomes competitive products with high quality of Ireland to enter the Chinese market and is also willing to regard Ireland as a partner to jointly conduct trilateral cooperation. I believe that through joint efforts of both sides, China-Ireland relations will surely be pushed to a new level.

Enda Kenny expressed that Ireland-China relations enjoy a sound development, with both sides having a strong will to continue to expand exchanges and cooperation. The Irish side is willing to maintain high-level exchanges and strengthen cooperation in various fields such as agriculture, animal husbandry, education and tourism with the Chinese side so as to promote Ireland-China strategic reciprocal partnership for greater development.

Li Keqiang also presented to Enda Kenny a television documentary "Charming Ireland", which has just been produced by China Central Television.
