On the eve of conclusion of Premier Li Keqiang's visit to Latin America, Foreign Minister Wang Yi told reporters at inquiry that President Xi Jinping paid a historic visit to Latin America last year, during which China and Latin America established a comprehensive cooperative partnership featuring equality, mutual benefit and common development. Premier Li Keqiang's visit to Latin America this time, which greatly pushed forward China-Latin America cooperative partnership and yielded multiple important results, is timely, practical and successful with milestone significance.

Wang Yi noted that the main theme running through Premier Li Keqiang's visit is to promote advantageous Chinese production capacity and equipments in Latin America by taking the China-Latin America cooperation in production capacity as breakthrough point, so as to transform and upgrade China-Latin America economic and trade relations and forge an upgraded version of China-Latin America cooperative relations. The visit helped to find a new path for China-Latin America cooperation, open up new prospects for South-South cooperation and explore new approaches for South-North cooperation.

First is to find a new path for China-Latin America cooperation. All Latin American countries are now looking forward to diversifying economic development and speeding up the industrialization process, while China is deepening its reform of economic structure and needs its large number of advantageous production capacity and equipments to go global. The development strategies of China and Latin America, highly according and complementing with each other, have been docked at a higher level. We transferring quality and environment-friendly equipments and production capacity to Latin America not only conduces to addressing the economic downward pressure, but also helps Latin America advance its industrialization process with low cost and a high starting point, receiving welcome from all visited countries and appreciation from all circles of Latin America.

Second is to open up new prospects for South-South cooperation. Li Keqiang put forward a new "3X3" model of cooperation in production capacity during his visit, which not only conforms to the demands of all Latin American countries, but also adapts to the new trend of international economic exchanges in the globalized background. The model, which can be applied to all developing countries and emerging economies, offers a broader development space for South-South cooperation.

Third is to explore new approaches for South-North cooperation. Premier Li Keqiang noted that China-Latin America cooperation in production capacity and equipment manufacturing is open and any third party is welcomed to participate in it. Actually, some important parts constituting the advantageous production capacity and equipments transferred from China to Latin America are from enterprises of developed countries. We welcome the developed countries to take part in the industrialization process of developing countries to not only seek for win-win results in China-Latin America cooperation, but also pursue multi-win results for developing and developed countries, so as to join efforts to promote accelerated recovery of global economy.

Wang Yi noted that Premier Li Keqiang's visit organically combined the big picture in China and the world and integrated the domestic development with diplomatic demands. The successful practice will surely exert positive and far-reaching influence.
