Li Keqiang Arrives in Seoul and Starts Official Visit to ROK

At noon of October 31 local time, Premier Li Keqiang arrived at the Seoul Airport in Seongnam by special plane and started an official visit to the Republic of Korea (ROK) at the invitation of President Park Geun-hye of the ROK.

As Premier Li Keqiang walked out of the cabin, the honor guard lined up on both sides of the red carpet and saluted him with eyes. High-level officials from the ROK government awaited at the airport, and H.E. Qiu Guohong, Chinese Ambassador to the ROK, also welcomed him at the airport.

Premier Li Keqiang said that it is his first official visit to the ROK since he took office. He would have comprehensive and in-depth exchanges of views with ROK leaders on further deepening China-ROK strategic cooperative partnership and issues of common concern, and have extensive communication with all circles of the ROK. This visit is expected to promote friendship, consolidate mutual trust, enlarge communication and achieve innovation in cooperation to promote China-ROK good-neighborly and friendly relations as well as mutually beneficial and practical cooperation to a new high.

During the visit, Li Keqiang will hold talks with President Park Geun-hye and jointly witness the signing of relevant bilateral cooperative documents, meet with Speaker of the National Assembly Chung Ui-hwa, Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn and leaders of major enterprises of the ROK, deliver an important speech to ROK's business community, visit the Innovation Center of Creative Economy in Gyeonggi Province, and attend and address the activities of the "Tourism Year of China" and China-ROK Youth Leaders Forum.
