On the morning of November 2 local time, Premier Li Keqiang, who was paying a visit to the Republic of Korea (ROK), visited the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation.

Since last year, the ROK government has set up in 17 provincial administrative regions across the country "Centers for Creative Economy and Innovation" to provide services and support to innovation-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation mainly fosters new integrated industries based on the software sector.

Li Keqiang listened to the briefing on the construction and development of the center and then visited the Internet of Things technology, mobile devices technology and 3D printing laboratory, learning about the detailed advances of technologies in these fields.

There in the entrepreneurship room on the fifth floor of the center gathered a plenty of outstanding entrepreneurship groups of the ROK. These "makers" all came closer to and greeted Premier Li Keqiang and introduced in detail their respective entrepreneurship projects and the progress.

Li Keqiang expressed that during this visit President Park Geun-hye and I have agreed to forge innovation cooperation platforms for enterprises and individuals of the two countries. The ROK has rich experience in developing innovation and creativity industries. China is now vigorously implementing the innovation-driven development strategy, promoting "mass entrepreneurship and innovation", initiating "Made in China 2025" and facilitating guidance and support for "mass innovation, contract, support and financing", so as to stimulate all people's creative vigor, speed up the economic structural transformation and lead the economic development toward a medium and high-end level. It can be said that China's idea of entrepreneurship and innovation coincides with the ROK's notion of Centers for Creative Economy and Innovation. With different approaches but equally satisfactory results, the two sides can learn from each other.

Li Keqiang pointed out that innovation and and entrepreneurship know no national boundaries. China and the ROK should seize the opportunity of new technology revolution and the trend of global development, meet the needs of respective domestic industrial upgrading, and promote better docking of respective innovation-driven development strategies in multiple dimensions. First, reinforce communications and interactions in areas such as policies and laws, encourage mutual participation, integrate superior resources and deepen industrial cooperation. Second, strengthen joint research and development and conduct innovation interaction so as to provide more platforms for "makers" of the two countries to exert their talent; Third, follow the great trend of international production capacity cooperation and join hands to explore the third-party markets so as to open up broader space for China-ROK practical cooperation.
