Li Keqiang Meets with Prime Minister Edi Rama of Albania

On the morning of November 26, 2015, Premier Li Keqiang met at the Great Hall of the People with Prime Minister Edi Rama of Albania, who was in China to attend the 4th Summit of China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC).

Li Keqiang expressed that China and Albania enjoy a profound and long-lasting friendship. The Chinese side is willing to dock development strategies with the Albanian side and translate the sound political relations into tangible cooperation results so as to bring benefits to both peoples.

Li Keqiang stressed that the Chinese government supports Chinese enterprises to participate in infrastructure construction including ports, railway and power grid as well as the building of industrial parks in Albania, and hopes to start construction of the Albury highway as early as possible, and expand China-Albania cooperation in financing, mineral products, agriculture and other areas. It is hoped that the Albanian side can provide more convenience for Chinese nationals to invest and travel in Albania.

Edi Rama noted that the Albania-China friendship is invaluable. The Albanian side highly values its relations with China and places high hopes on the development of bilateral relations. Albania welcomes China to participate in its infrastructure construction and expand agricultural product trade and tourism cooperation, and is willing to simplify visa procedures and provide more convenience for Chinese personnel.
