On March 28, 2015, State Councilor Yang Jiechi met in Boao, Hainan Province with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tanasak Patimapragorn of Thailand who was in China for the attendance of the Boao Forum For Asia Annual Conference 2015.

Yang Jiechi said that China-Thailand comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership has constantly deepened in recent years. China will work with Thailand to keep close high-level exchanges, enhance practical cooperation in railway, agriculture and other fields and advance the construction of the Belt and Road together. Both sides should ensure success of the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relationship, strengthen friendly affections between the two peoples and promote bilateral relations for constant development.

Tanasak Patimapragorn expressed that Thailand and China enjoy a long-lasting friendship and Thailand will continue actively promoting bilateral communication and exchanges at all levels, actively participate in the construction of the Belt and Road, boost economic and trade cooperation with China and jointly celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relationship.
