Xi Jinping Leaves Beijing for Attendance of Celebrations Marking 70th Anniversary of Russia's Victory in Great Patriotic War and Visits to Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus

On the afternoon of May 7, 2015, President Xi Jinping, at the invitation of President Nursultan Nazarbayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation and President Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko of the Republic of Belarus, left Beijing by special plane to visit Kazakhstan, attend the celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the victory in Great Patriotic War to be held in Russia and visit the country, as well as pay a state visit to Belarus.

Members of President Xi Jinping's delegation include his wife Mme. Peng Liyuan, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee Wang Huning, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the CPC Central Military Commission Fan Changlong, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee Li Zhanshu, and State Councilor Yang Jiechi and others.
