President Xi Jinping Inspects the China-Belarus Industrial Park

On May 12 local time, President Xi Jinping and his wife Mme. Peng Liyuan, accompanied by President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus, inspected the China-Belarus Industrial Park in Minsk.

When President Xi Jinping and his wife arrived at the Industrial Park, President Alexander Lukashenko went to the car in person to greet them. President Xi Jinping and his wife, together with President Alexander Lukashenko, visited the sand table of the Industrial Park, carefully listened to the introduction from the head of the park and asked information about cooperation between the enterprises of the two countries and the production of enterprises in the park. The industrial park also specially exhibited pictures drawn by Belarusian children about the Industrial Park in their imagination. The innocent and lovely Belarusian children gave President Xi Jinping a hand-painted picture as a present, expressing their pursuit of the industrial park.

President Xi Jinping and President Alexander Lukashenko together witnessed the ceremony commemorating the park’s Management Committee issuing admission certificates to the first enterprises to enter the park as well as the enterprises which intended to enter the park submitting agreements to the Management Committee. The two heads of state also signed their names on the development blueprint of the Industrial Park.

Wang Huning, Li Zhanshu, Yang Jiechi and others attended the above events.

With a planned area of 91.5 square kilometers, the China-Belarus Industrial Park is located near the Minsk National Airport. It is the biggest project of Belarus to attract foreign businesses and investment, and it is also the biggest economic and technological cooperation project between China and Belarus.
