Xi Jinping Leaves Beijing for His State Visit to the US and Attendance of Series of Summits for 70th Anniversary of the UN

On the afternoon of September 22, 2015, at the invitation of President Barack Obama of the United States of America, President Xi Jinping left Beijing by special plane for his state visit to the US. Besides, at the invitation of Secretary General of the UN Ban Ki-moon, Xi Jinping will also attend the series of summits marking the 70th anniversary of the UN at the UN headquarters in New York.

Mme. Peng Liyuan, wife of President Xi Jinping, Wang Huning, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee, Li Zhanshu, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, Yang Jiechi, State Councilor, and others accompanied Xi Jinping for his visit.
