Xi Jinping Attends China-UK Creative Industry Exhibition

On October 21 local time, President Xi Jinping attended China-UK Creative Industry Exhibition in London.

Upon arriving at Lancaster House by car, Xi Jinping and his wife, Mme. Peng Liyuan were warmly greeted by Prince William, Duke of Cambridge of the UK, and his wife Duchess Catherine.

Accompanied by Prince William and his wife, Xi Jinping entered Lancaster House, watching the promotion display of the cooperation project named "Creative Collaboration Showcase", promo of China-UK Year of Culture Exchange and classic cultural products of both countries, enjoying wonderful performance by Chinese and UK artists and touring the exhibition of emission-free bus and taxi under China-UK cooperation.

While enjoying the exhibition, Xi Jinping and Prince William also warmly exchanged views.

Xi Jinping pointed out that as major cultural countries, China and the UK should enhance creative cultural exchanges and improve mutual understanding between the two countries and peoples through cultural products. In recent years, both sides have achieved positive progress in clean energy and other areas of cooperation. At current stage, China is highlighting innovation in its overall national development and carrying out the innovation-driven development strategy. The UK has accumulated much experience in creative industry. It is hoped that both countries can enhance communication and mutual learning in this field and thus achieve common development.
