2016-03-24 09:35

On the afternoon of March 23, 2016, Premier Li Keqiang met in Sanya with Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh of Viet Nam, who was in China to attend the 1st Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Leaders' Meeting and the 2016 annual conference of Boao Forum for Asia on behalf of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung of Viet Nam.

Li Keqiang expressed that since last year, China-Viet Nam relations have showed a momentum of positive development. The General Secretaries of Communist Party of China (CPC) and Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) have exchanged visits. Initial harvest has been reaped in implementation of the consensus reached between leaders of Viet Nam and me during my visit to Viet Nam in 2013 to simultaneously advance maritime, on-shore and financial cooperation. It is believed that as long as China and Viet Nam make concerted efforts to maintain high-level exchanges, strengthen practical cooperation, control differences through consultation, and boost friendship between the two peoples, the bilateral relationship is facing a bright prospect.

Pham Binh Minh conveyed the greetings of leaders of Viet Nam to Chinese leaders, expressing that relationship with China has always been a priority of Viet Nam's diplomacy. Viet Nam stands ready to, together with China, maintain close high-level contacts, connect development strategies, advance mutually beneficial cooperation and properly handle the disputes, so as to constantly push forward bilateral relationship.

Yang Jing attended the meeting.
