Li Keqiang Meets with Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov of Belarus

On the morning of November 5, 2016 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov of Belarus at the hotel where he stayed in Riga.

Li Keqiang said that China always regards Belarus as a close friend and important partner in the European region. This September, President Xi Jinping held a fruitful meeting with President Alexander Lukashenko during his visit in China, and both countries established a comprehensive strategic partnership. Belarus is welcomed to attend the "16+1" summit this time as an observer. China is willing to maintain the sound development momentum of bilateral relations, enhance high-level exchanges, strengthen cooperation in such fields as production capacity and equipment manufacturing, and deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges, so as to push bilateral friendly cooperation for constant development.

Andrei Kobyakov expressed that Belarus is willing to seize the new opportunities for the development of bilateral relations, strengthen cooperation in production capacity and equipment manufacturing, lift the level of bilateral trade, and expand cooperation in finance, tourism and other areas, so as to constantly push forward bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership.
