Li Keqiang Meets with Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia

On the morning of November 5, 2016 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia at the hotel where he stayed in Riga.

Li Keqiang stated that China and Serbia enjoy profound traditional friendship and bilateral relations maintain a good momentum of development. President Xi Jinping paid a successful visit to Serbia this year, upgrading bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership. China stands ready to adhere to mutual respect and equal treatment with Serbia and support the efforts of Serbia in safeguarding national sovereignty as well as independence and exploring its own development path. China is willing to make joint efforts with the Serbian side to well carry out agreed projects, such as the Budapest-Belgrade railway and highways, and push bilateral pragmatic cooperation for constant and new results, so as to better achieve mutual benefit and win-win results and benefit the two peoples.

Aleksandar Vucic said that both countries are good friends harboring mutual trust and bilateral friendly relations enjoy smooth development with satisfying outcomes from bilateral cooperation in infrastructure, energy, mining and other areas. Serbia appreciates and thanks China for its great emphasis on bilateral relations and its support to Serbia, and is willing to further deepen bilateral cooperation in order to constantly achieve new development.
