Li Keqiang Meets with Prime Minister Beata Szydło of Poland

On the morning of November 5, 2016 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with Prime Minister Beata Szydło of Poland at the hotel where he stayed in Riga.

Li Keqiang spoke positively of the development of China-Poland relations, and appreciated Poland's positive role in promoting the "16 + 1 cooperation" and the development of China-EU relations. He said that China and Poland enjoy strong economic complementarities and broad prospects in mutually beneficial cooperation. China is willing to intensify the efforts in docking the "Belt and Road" initiative with Poland's re-industrialization development strategy, find more interest converging points and expand cooperation in various fields in the principle of mutual respect, mutual benefit and win-win results with Poland. China is willing to work with Poland to, on the basis of production capacity cooperation, give play to its advantages of cost-effective equipments in infrastructure construction and relevant industrial manufacture to participate in the construction of ports, industrial parks and others,in Poland, so as to better achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. China is willing to make joint efforts with Poland to strengthen people-to-people and cultural exchanges and cooperation in such fields as science, technology and education to constantly enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.

Beata Szydło noted the development strategies of Poland and China are compatible to each other, and both sides enjoy broad prospects for economic cooperation. The Polish side attaches great importance to its relationship with China and is ready to well plan bilateral pragmatic cooperation. Based on its reindustrialization process, Poland is willing to expand bilateral cooperation in such fields as infrastructure, industrial parks, science and technology as well as deepen cooperation within the framework of the "16 + 1 cooperation".
