Li Keqiang Arrives in St. Petersburg to Attend the 21st Regular Meeting Between Chinese Premier and Russian Prime Minister and Pay an Official Visit to Russia

On the morning of November 6, 2016 local time, Premier Li Keqiang, at the invitation of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of Russia, arrived at the Pulkovo International Airport in St. Petersburg by special plane to attend the 21st Regular Meeting between Chinese Premier and Russian Prime Minister and pay an official visit to Russia.

Senior government officials of Russia greeted Premier Li Keqiang at the airport, and hosted a grand welcome ceremony for him. Li Keqiang reviewed the guard of honor. Vice Premier Liu Yandong and Vice Premier Wang Yang who had arrived in St. Petersburg earlier to attend the Regular Meeting between Chinese Premier and Russian Prime Minister, as well as H.E. Li Hui, Chinese Ambassador to Russia also greeted him at the airport.

During his stay in Russia, Li Keqiang will meet with President Vladimir Putin of Russia. He will also hold a meeting with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of Russia, and meet the press, witness the signing of cooperation documents between the two countries and attend relevant people-to-people and cultural activities together with him.

Li Keqiang arrived in St. Petersburg after successfully attending the 5th Summit of China and the Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) and concluding his official visit to Latvia. When he left Riga, Latvian senior government officials including Minister of Transport Uldis Augulis, and H.E. Huang Yong, Chinese Ambassador to Latvia, saw him off at the airport.
