On the morning of July 16, 2016 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with President Rosen Asenov Plevneliev of Bulgaria in Ulaanbaatar.

Li Keqiang firstly conveyed warm greetings from President Xi Jinping to Rosen Asenov Plevneliev. He expressed that China and Bulgaria enjoy traditional friendship with bilateral relations maintaining a momentum of healthy development and mutually beneficial cooperation full of vitality. The Chinese side stands ready to, together with Bulgaria, deepen the docking of development planning, enhance exchanges and cooperation in various fields and deepen personnel exchanges. China is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with Bulgaria under the cooperation framework between China and the Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC). It is hoped that the Bulgarian side can continue to play a positive role in advancing the China-EU relations.

Li Keqiang pointed out that China has long been pursuing the independent foreign policy of peace and unswervingly following the path of peaceful development. We stand ready to enhance cooperation with all countries including Bulgaria in the world to jointly maintain world peace and stability, and promote common development and prosperity.

Rosen Asenov Plevneliev expressed that he is proud of and pleased with the positive progress made in Bulgaria-China relations. Leaders of successive Bulgarian governments have been actively dedicated to promoting the development of bilateral relations. They speak highly of China's adherence to peaceful development, and firmly believe that China's development path will benefit the whole world. The Bulgarian side is willing to further strengthen exchanges at all levels and cooperation in various fields with the Chinese side, and support the CEEC to deepen cooperation with China. The country stands ready to be in the forefront of developing relationship with China in the international community.
