Xi Jinping Leaves Beijing for State Visits to Serbia, Poland and Uzbekistan and Attendance at the 16th Meeting of Heads of State Council of the SCO in Tashkent

On the morning of June 17, 2016, at the invitation of President Tomislav Nikolic of the Republic of Serbia, President Andrzej Duda of the Republic of Poland and President Islam Karimov of the Republic of Uzbekistan, President Xi Jinping left Beijing by special plane to pay state visits to Serbia, Poland and Uzbekistan. At the invitation of President Islam Karimov of the Republic of Uzbekistan, he will also attend the 16th Meeting of Heads of State Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The delegation members include Mme. Peng Liyuan, wife of President Xi Jinping, Wang Huning, member of the Political Bureau and Director of the Policy Research Office of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Li Zhanshu, member of the Political Bureau and Secretariat and Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, Yang Jiechi, the State Councilor, and other officials.
