Li Keqiang and Prime Minister Charles Michel of Belgium Jointly Visit Geely-Volvo Innovation Display

On the evening of June 2, 2017 local time, Premier Li Keqiang and Prime Minister Charles Michel of Belgium jointly visited the Geely-Volvo Innovation Display in Brussels.

Persons in charge of the enterprise briefed Li Keqiang and Charles Michel on the latest products jointly researched and developed by Geely and Volvo and their advantages. Li Keqiang praised the joint research and production model featuring multilateral collaborative innovation and transformation of achievements. He hoped both sides to make full use of their comparative advantages in talents, funds, technology, markets and other aspects, enhance joint innovation and explore international market together, so as to better achieve win-win results.

On the display spot, Li Keqiang and Charles Michel cheerfully got into the cockpit of the newest self-owned brand automobile developed by Geely, and felt the vehicle's configuration and comfort level in person. Li Keqiang asked the detail information on the technology of engine design, energy consumption, material and market, and encouraged the enterprise to strengthen individualized design and flexibility production, in a bid to launch more new products that adapt to individual requirements of consumers.

At the end of the visit, Li Keqiang stopped in front of the big screen which displays Geely-Volvo global technical research and development as well as distribution of production in real time, and cared for relevant situation of the enterprise going global. When knowing that since China's Geely Group's acquisition of Volvo in 2010, the Volvo Cars factory in Ghent, Belgium, as the largest car assembly plant of Volvo Car Corporation outside Sweden, has enjoyed sound operation and steady growth in output and export sales volume, as well as effectively driven local employment, Li Keqiang expressed that China is implementing "Made in China 2025" strategy, and actively boosting a new round of opening up at a higher level. China encourages Chinese enterprises to improve technical level, temper spirits of craftsman and upgrade Made in China 2025 in opening up and cooperation, and welcomes more foreign enterprises to invest and develop business in China, and share common development and progress in advantage complementarities, as well as mutually beneficial cooperation.
