On March 25, 2017 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with Premier of New South Wales Gladys Berejiklian of Australia in the hotel where he stayed in Sydney.

Li Keqiang said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations 45 years ago, bilateral relations have made substantial progress， the practical cooperation have yielded fruitful results and friendly exchanges between the non-governmental levels have been increasingly deepened. These results cannot be achieved without the support of bilateral local exchanges and cooperation. During my visit in Australia, both countries reached new consensus on expanding the two-way opening-up in service and investment. China encourages Chinese enterprises to strengthen cooperation with New South Wales (NSW), expand cooperation in energy resources, agriculture, animal husbandry, finance, scientific and technological innovation and other fields, and uplift exchanges in such fields as economy, trade, investment, culture, education, and tourism. The door of China's opening-up to the outside world will be wider and wider. It is hoped that NSW will provide a sound environment and convenience for Chinese enterprises that invest and run business here. It is believed that China-Australia cooperation in NSW will blossom with more beautiful flowers and yield sweeter fruits.

Gladys Berejiklian said that Premier Li Keqiang's visit this time is content-rich, fruitful and successful, providing new opportunities for the development of relations between Australia and China and for the deepening of exchanges and cooperation between NSW and China. NSW cherishes the friendship between Australia and China. NSW is willing to seize the opportunity of promoting the free trade agreement between the two countries to tap its own advantages and expand the cooperation in finance, health care, education, tourism and other areas with China. It is welcomed that more Chinese enterprises will invest in NSW.
