On November 9, 2017 local time, the press center of the Chinese delegation at the 25th APEC Economic Leaders' Summit held its first briefing. Director General of Cooperation and Development Department of China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) Sun Xiao attended the briefing, during which he introduced relevant information of the 2017 APEC CEO Summit, the participation of China's industrial and commercial circles, and comments from industrial and commercial circles of various countries on the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and answered questions from journalists. The briefing was chaired by Counselor of the Information Department of the Foreign Ministry Wu Xiaojun.

More than 30 journalists from nearly 20 Chinese and foreign media, including People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, China Central Television, China Global Television Network, China Radio International, Phoenix Satellite TV, Dragon TV, Global Times, Reuters, Agence France-Presse, Kyodo News, NHK, and Nikkei Net, attended the briefing.
