Xi Jinping Arrives in Hanoi, Starting His State Visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

On November 12, 2017 local time, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President Xi Jinping arrived in Hanoi, starting his state visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

At around 11:10 a.m. local time, Xi Jinping's special plane arrived at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi. When Xi Jinping walked out of the cabin door, he was greeted by Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), Permanent Member of the Secretariat of the CPV Central Committee and Head of the Inspection Commission of the CPV Central Committee Tran Quoc Vuong and others. Vietnamese youth presented flowers to Xi Jinping. The guard of honor lined up on both sides of the red carpet. Vietnamese people dressed in splendid attire waved the national flags of both China and Vietnam to welcome Xi Jinping.

Ding Xuexiang, Liu He, Yang Jiechi and other delegation members arrived by the same plane.

Xi Jinping arrived in Hanoi after his attendance at the 25th APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in Da Nang. When he left Da Nang, government ministers and other senior officials of Vietnam, as well as Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor saw him off at the airport.
