Xi Jinping Attends Inauguration and Handover Ceremony of Vietnam-China Friendship Palace and Inauguration Ceremony of Hanoi China Culture Center

On November 12, 2017 local time, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and President Xi Jinping attended the inauguration and handover ceremony of Vietnam-China Friendship Palace and the inauguration ceremony of the Hanoi China Culture Center.

When Xi Jinping arrived at the Palace, he was welcomed by representatives of Chinese-funded enterprises in Vietnam and Vietnamese young people. Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan greeted him at the entrance.

Accompanied by Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Xi Jinping came to the ceremony site. The inauguration and handover ceremony of Vietnam-China Friendship Palace kicked off and a video introducing the project of the palace was played on the spot. Xi Jinping and Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan came to the rostrum where Xi Jinping presented a "golden key" to the project to Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan. The inauguration ceremony of the Hanoi China Culture Center started, and Xi Jinping and Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan jointly unveiled the China Culture Center. Accompanied by Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Xi Jinping appreciated the art relief of China-Vietnam friendship and visited the theater.

After the visit, Xi Jinping and Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan warmly shook hands with and extended warm greetings to the present Chinese and Vietnamese guests, encouraging them to make positive contributions to strengthening friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.

Located in Hanoi, the Vietnam-China Friendship Palace covers an area of 13,800 square meters and is a landmark project sponsored by China in Vietnam. The Hanoi China Culture Center is an official cultural institution accredited by China in Vietnam.

Ding Xuexiang, Liu He, Yang Jiechi and other Chinese delegation members as well as Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), Member of the Secretariat of the CPV Central Committee and Head of the Commission for Popularization and Education of the CPV Central Committee Vo Van Thuong, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPV Central Committee, Member of the Secretariat of the CPV Central Committee and Head of the Commission for Mass Mobilization the CPV Central Committee Truong Thi Mai, Member of the Secretariat of the CPV Central Committee, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and President of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association Nguyen Xuan Thang and others attended the above events.
