On June 29, 2019 local time, the 14th G20 Summit continued in Osaka, Japan. President Xi Jinping attended the Summit.

During the discussion on boosting inclusive development, Xi Jinping pointed out that the Chinese side agrees that the high-quality infrastructure construction should be taken as an important handle for promoting inclusive development. Extensive consensus was reached and fruitful outcomes were produced on the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative with high quality at the 2nd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation which was successfully held in Beijing not long ago. We should adhere to the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, pursue open, green and clean cooperation, and pursue high standard cooperation to improve people's life and promote sustainable development. The ultimate goal is to better integrate into the global supply chain, industrial chain and value chains and achieve interconnected development through all-round connectivity. We also need to strengthen the alignment with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations (UN). The joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative focuses on development, and will make important contributions to implementing the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and promoting the sustainable development of developing countries. The joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative aims to boost common development of all members of the international community, and has also become an international public good that benefits all parties and an open and inclusive platform for international cooperation. All interested parties are welcome to participate in the Belt and Road Initiative and work together to make the "pie" of mutual benefit and win-win results bigger. On the basis of the shared vision and consensus of the international community, China will continue to promote integration of policy communication and practical cooperation, and contribute to strong, sustainable, balanced and inclusive growth of the world economy, so as to achieve high-quality development and common prosperity of all countries.
