Xi Jinping Arrives in Nice of France, Heading to the Principality of Monaco for the State Visit

On March 24, 2019 local time, President Xi Jinping arrived in Nice of France, and then headed to Monaco by car, starting his state visit to the Principality of Monaco.

At around 12:00 at noon local time, Xi Jinping's special plane arrived in Nice Airport. Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan were warmly greeted by the head of government and Minister of State Serge Telle and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Gilles Tonelli of Monaco. Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian of France also greeted Xi Jinping at the airport. Xi Jinping and Peng Liyuan walked along the red carpet while the guard of honor was lining up on both sides of the red carpet with eye salute.

Ding Xuexiang, Yang Jiechi, Wang Yi, He Lifeng and other delegation members arrived by the same plane.

H.E. Zhai Jun, Chinese Ambassador to France and concurrently Chinese Ambassador to Monaco, also greeted Xi Jinping at the airport.

Xi Jinping headed to Monaco after concluding his state visit to Italy. Xi Jinping will start his state visit to France in Nice after the visit to Monaco.
