1. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 18 March, the following were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 34 confirmed cases;

b) 8 fatal cases (all in Hubei);

c) 23 suspected cases;

d) 819 cured and discharged cases;

e) 1,032 close contacts released from medical observation; and

f) 308 fewer severe cases.

2. As of 24:00, 18 March, the following had been reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 7,263 confirmed cases (including 2,314 severe cases) still under treatment;

b) 70,420 cured and discharged cases;

c) 3,245 fatal cases;

d) 80,928 confirmed cases;

e) 105 suspected cases pending test results; and

f) 683,281 close contacts traced (including 9,144 still under medical observation).

3. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 18 March, the following were newly reported by Hubei:

a) 795 cured and discharged cases (including 733 in Wuhan);

b) 8 fatal cases (including 6 in Wuhan); and

c) no newly confirmed or suspected case (Wuhan included).

As of 24:00, 18 March, Hubei had reported:

a) 6,992 confirmed cases (including 6,744 in Wuhan) still under treatment;

b) 2,274 severe cases (including 2,222 in Wuhan) still under treatment;

c) 57,678 cured and discharged cases (including 40,765 in Wuhan);

d) 3,130 fatal cases (including 2,496 in Wuhan);

e) 67,800 confirmed cases (including 50,005 in Wuhan); and

f) no suspected case pending test results (Wuhan included).

4. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 18 March, 34 imported confirmed cases were newly reported (21 in Beijing, 9 in Guangdong, 2 in Shanghai, 1 in Heilongjiang and 1 in Zhejiang). As of 24:00, 18 March, 189 imported confirmed cases had been reported.

5. As of 24:00, 18 March, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan had altogether reported 307 confirmed cases:

a) 192 (including 95 discharged cases and 4 fatal cases) in the Hong Kong SAR;

b) 15 (including 10 discharged cases) in the Macao SAR; and

c) 100 (including 22 discharged cases and 1 fatal case) in the Taiwan region.
