50th Meeting of Beijing Leading Group on COVID-19 Control and 17th Meeting of Inter-agency Mechanism for Strict Entry Management Held

2020/03/31

On the afternoon of 30 March, the 50th meeting of the Beijing Leading Group on Epidemic Control of COVID-19 and the 17th meeting of the Inter-agency Mechanism for Strict Entry Management were held. The meetings noted that risks of imported cases continue to escalate due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 outside China. We must work unremittingly without letting down guard to prevent both case import and domestic resurgence. Stringent measures must be enforced at points of entry and all loopholes plugged to make sure that all international arrivals undergo both medical observation in designated places and nucleic acid tests. All measures must be strictly enforced, including comprehensive checks on those under home observation and on the implementation of health monitoring schemes. Epidemic control for foreign missions in China will be properly arranged and "Healthkit" will be promoted among foreign nationals in China. Follow-up arrangements at the transition area set up in the new compound of the China International Exhibition Center will be made, including maintainance of existing closed-loop management and transfer facilities.
