NHC: Imported Cases Continue to Increase and Risk of Localized Outbreak Remains

2020/04/04

At the press briefing held by the State Council inter-agency task force on COVID-19 outbreak on Friday afternoon, NHC spokesperson Mi Feng said that on 2 April, 31 confirmed cases (including 29 imported ones), and 60 asymptomatic cases were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corp, with less than 1,000 confirmed cases still under treatment in Hubei. The two new confirmed local cases are both caused by imported ones. Confirmed imported cases continue to increase, and risks of sporadic local infections and localized outbreak still remain. To prevent the spread of the virus caused by imported cases, all communities, workplaces, households and individuals must continue to practice self-protection measures.
