Ambassador Liu noted that President Xi Jinping had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Johnson recently, saying that the two sides could strengthen coordination as they are going to host COP26 and COP15 to the Convention on Biological Diversity respectively so as to jointly promote international cooperation in tackling the climate change. Both China and the UK are leaders in green development and have maintained good cooperation in green finance and sustainable development. China is ready to work with the UK to take these two conferences as opportunities to further expand their mutually beneficial cooperation and develop China-UK relations, so as to benefit peoples of both countries and the world.
