Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu Attends the "United Nations Day" Commemorative Event

On October 28, 2022, Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu attended and addressed the event hosted by the Resident Coordinator of the UN Development System in China to commemorate the "United Nations Day". Diplomatic envoys and senior diplomats from more than 110 countries, and representatives of UN development agencies and other international organizations in China, among others, attended the event.

Ma Zhaoxu said that the report delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping to the 20th CPC National Congress has systemically summed up the historic achievements and changes in the cause of the Party and the country over the past 10 years of the new era, drawn a magnificent and well-conceived blueprint for building China into a modern socialist country in all respects and advancing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization, and set out overarching policies and strategic plans for advancing the cause of the Party and the country on the new journey of the new era. The report has also solemnly articulated the foreign policy China follows and will continue to follow in the years ahead, stressing that China has always been committed to its foreign policy goals of upholding world peace and promoting common development, and that it is dedicated to promoting a human community with a shared future.

Ma Zhaoxu stressed that the 20th CPC National Congress has opened up new and broad prospects for cooperation between China and other countries in the world. He expressed the hope that foreign diplomatic envoys and representatives of the UN system in China will carefully study and thoroughly understand the spirit and content of the report, and more actively promote cooperation with China, so as to jointly advance the building of a human community with a shared future.
