Vice Foreign Minister Qin Gang Attends the National Day Reception of Peru

On July 25, 2019, Vice Foreign Minister Qin Gang attended at invitation the reception marking the Independence Day of Peru held by the Peruvian Embassy in China. He addressed the event.

In his speech, Qin Gang expressed his congratulations on the 198th anniversary of the independence of Peru, and noted that China-Peru friendly exchanges enjoy a time-honored history. This year marks the 170th anniversary of the arrival of Chinese in Peru. The Chinese community in Peru have made positive contributions to Peru's national development and China-Peru friendship. The two peoples share a natural affinity and China-Peru relations enjoy a solid foundation of public support. The two countries have established the comprehensive strategic partnership, with steadily deepened political mutual trust, increasingly enriched practical cooperation and close coordination in international and regional affairs. The Chinese side is willing to keep moving forward together with the Peruvian side, jointly build the Belt and Road Initiative, cement friendly cooperation, better benefit the two peoples, and make China-Peru relations an example of China-Latin America relations, thus to make new contributions to building a community with a shared future for mankind.

Qin Gang also exchanged views with Peruvian Ambassador to China Luis Quesada on China-Peru relations and other topics.
