Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng Holds a Video Consultation between the Chinese and Tajik Foreign Ministries with First Deputy Foreign Minister Khusrav Noziri of Tajikistan

On September 23, 2020, Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng and Tajik First Deputy Foreign Minister Khusrav Noziri held a video consultation between the Chinese and Tajik Foreign Ministries. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, practical cooperation, and international and regional issues of common concern.

Le Yucheng expressed, with the personal care and promotion of the two heads of state, China-Tajikistan relations have achieved continuous leapfrog development. The two countries took the lead in announcing to build the China-Tajikistan community of shared development and security, led the way in promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, and set a good example for the international community. In the face of changes unseen in a century and the global pandemic, China and Tajikistan need to accelerate all-round cooperation and continuously improve the scale and level of cooperation between the two countries. At the same time, coordination should be strengthened in international and regional affairs to safeguard the common interests of the two countries.

Khusrav Noziri spoke highly of China's achievements in development and expressed deep gratitude to the Chinese side for its anti-pandemic assistance. Khusrav Noziri stressed, cooperation with China is the priority of Tajikistan's diplomacy. The Tajik side is willing to fully promote the deep integration between the National Development Strategy of Tajikistan up to the period of 2030 and the Belt and Road Initiative, and strive to create a new situation in Tajikistan-China cooperation. The Tajik side will unswervingly defend Tajikistan-China friendship. Any attempt to sow discord between the two countries will not succeed.
