Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu Meets with the Delegation of Geneva-based Diplomatic Envoys of Developing Countries

On August 31, 2023, Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu met with a visiting delegation of Geneva-based diplomatic envoys of developing countries.

Ma Zhaoxu said that the Communist Party of China has put respecting and protecting human rights high on its national agenda, and made historical achievements in China's human rights advancement. President Xi Jinping's important discourses on respecting and protecting human rights have provided China's insights for advancing the international cause of human rights. All countries should adhere to putting their people at the center, respect every country's independent choice of a human rights development path, coordinate various human rights, strengthen dialogue and cooperation, and jointly work for fairer and more equitable, reasonable and inclusive global governance on human rights.

Diplomatic envoys highly appreciated China's achievements in human rights development, and expressed their readiness to strengthen coordination and cooperation with China in multilateral human rights affairs, and safeguard the common interests of developing countries.
