On October 10, 2014, the organizing committee of the sixth international charity sale "Love Knows No Borders" held a media briefing.

Liu Xia, Counselor of the Women's Work Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Xu Yixuan, Permanent Member of China Charity Federation (CCF) and Executive President and Secretary-General of the Chinese Journalist Volunteers Association For Charity Promotion, respectively introduced the preparations for the current charity sale and the condition of the children with congenital heart disease in Guizhou Province. This charity sale was initiated by Foreign Minister Wang Yi's wife, Ms. Qian Wei, and will be held on the Fireworks Square and Sunken Plaza of Chaoyang Park on October 19 with the theme of "Delivering hope of 'hearts' to children in poverty-stricken mountainous areas". Foreign embassies and representative offices of international organizations in China will be invited to attend, and some of the domestic enterprises will also participate. This event is hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and CCF, co-organized by the Beijing Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and Beijing Chaoyang District Government, and specifically organized and implemented by CCF. The fund raised will be used to sponsor the surgery of children with congenital heart disease in Guizhou Province.

Friends from all walks of life are welcome to attend this charity sale and give a hand to the children suffering from congenital heart disease in poverty-stricken mountainous areas. Participating citizens can buy tickets at the entrance at the fare of RMB 25 yuan on the day. All the ticket income will be used to sponsor the surgery of children with congenital heart disease in Guizhou Province.
