The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Invites Children from Diplomatic Corps in China to Celebrate Children's Day

On May 30, 2021, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs invited diplomatic envoys and diplomats to watch an acrobatic performance at Chaoyang Theater with their children to celebrate the International Children's Day. Nearly 900 diplomatic envoys and diplomats from 90 diplomatic corps in China, including 22 ambassadors from Malaysia, Bangladesh, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Mali, Benin, Sierra Leone, Madagascar, Mauritius, Turkmenistan, Luxembourg, Samoa, Guyana, Costa Rica, Chile and other countries, three chargé d'affaires a.i. and three representatives of international organizations to China, attended the event with their children. Director-General of the Protocol Department of the Foreign Ministry Hong Lei accompanied them to watch the performance.

The whole performance is very exciting and thrilling, with climax coming one after another. Many programs have won awards in international acrobatic competitions for many times. The children cheered when seeing the wonderful parts and screamed for the thrilling parts from time to time.

At the end of the performance, the children spontaneously rose to their feet, clapping and cheering for a long time. Then, the diplomatic envoys, diplomats and their children went to the stage to take photos with the performers. The scene was so warm that no one wanted to leave. Everyone said that they enjoyed the performance very much and it would be a wonderful memory for the children during their years in China.
