On June 8, 2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the first session of the "Global Insights into Chinese Enterprises" series in 2023 under the theme of Digital and Innovative ICBC: Presenting Beijing Financial Street to the World. Nearly 100 people, including 40 ambassadors to China, 7 Chargés d'affaires a.i., and other senior diplomats from 80 countries, participated in the event. State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang attended the event and interacted and exchanged with the diplomatic envoys. Assistant Foreign Minister Nong Rong, Chairman of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) Chen Siqing and District Mayor of Xicheng District of Beijing Liu Dongwei participated in the event and delivered speeches.

Assistant Foreign Minister Nong Rong said that during the process of China's rapid economic development, China's financial industry has made great progress and given full play to the role of important guarantees and promotion. ICBC and Beijing Financial Street are the epitomes of the high-quality development of China's financial industry. He expressed the hope that the diplomatic envoys to China will introduce the success story of China's financial industry to their own countries, tell the story of Chinese modernization to more people, and promote their exchanges and cooperation with China.

The diplomatic envoys said that the "Global Insights into Chinese Enterprises" provided a rare opportunity for all countries to have a close understanding of China's financial industry, from which they also gained a deeper and more specific understanding of China’s modernization. They have stronger confidence in China's economic development and a more active desire to carry out financial cooperation with China. They hope to carry out in-depth and high-level cooperation with ICBC and Beijing Financial Street in a broad range of areas such as scientific and technological finance, green finance, inclusive finance and cross-border finance.
