On October 19, 2021, Assistant Foreign Minister Wu Jianghao attended upon invitation the National Day Reception held by the Indonesian Embassy and exchanged views with Indonesian Ambassador to China Djauhari Oratmangun on bilateral relations and other issues.
Wu Jianghao expressed his congratulations on the 76th anniversary of the independence of Indonesia. He said that since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the top leaders of the two countries have had four phone conversations, drawing up a blueprint for and charting the way forward for the development of China-Indonesia relations. The two sides have achieved remarkable results in COVID-19 response and development cooperation and maintained close collaboration in international and regional affairs. China stands ready to work with Indonesia to follow the guidance of the important consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries and push for further progress in the China-Indonesia comprehensive strategic partnership.
Djauhari Oratmangun said that the relationship between Indonesia and China is increasingly close, which brings tangible benefits to the two peoples. Indonesia thanks China for its valuable support for Indonesia's fight against the pandemic and is ready to work with China to boost cooperation in various fields and elevate bilateral relations to a higher level.
